Brochure Design
Feeding America West Michigan is a branch of the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America. They are located in West Michigan but provide services throughout the Upper Peninsula. 40 of Michigan's 83 counties benefit from their services.
Through involvement with Catchafire, I designed one of their brochures. They needed a tri-fold design that would function as an educational marketing piece and be distributed at events or enclosed with thank you letters. This brochure folds into a standard sized envelope and exemplifies the brand guidelines set forth by the national headquarters.
I enhanced a geographical service area map by adding more detail and texture, found graphic icons to stimulate interest in the brochure messaging and chose photo stock. The creative direction of the imagery called for realistic, candid shots that inspired emotion and empathy. Many of these images came from the client's own archives and a couple from online vendor sources.
