Recently I was able to play a vital part in promoting our annual senior event at JCC Dallas, where I was a Digital Designer. I was tasked with the design and maintenance of several web pages provided for our members and sponsors. This allowed for a fresh design of an event page and sponsor directory consisting of three levels of sponsors.
To create these pages, I started with the event logo and brand colors our marketing department designed. I built out a custom page layout to duplicate across the four pages of content. Stock imagery was used to convey our tone and mood of celebration.
The sponsor directory was a more consolidated and user-friendly version from our last year's model. Instead of having separate pages designed to open for each sponsor, I created a three-column layout with the information for each sponsor easily spread across one row. This increased our efficiency with production and decreased the amount of lost web traffic. Outbound links were offered with the use of visible contact emails, icons for websites and YouTube videos.
This directory grew to a total of 62 sponsors, with more projected to be added in the weeks ahead. The Senior Expo is held every March at JCC and had a successful attendance this year for 2024. It is a helpful event for seniors to learn about the resources that are available to them in our community for attaining a comfortable lifestyle.
